A strong turnout of British Galway sheep were put forward by exhibitors at the Royal Three Counties Show on Sunday 18th June, for judge Carole Muddiman to cast her eye over.
Taking the Breed Championship was the aged ram, Quoile River Augustus (born 2020), exhibited by Miss Sarah Cook, Cambridgeshire, and bred by Penny Hutchinson, County Down. In reserve was the February-born winner of the ram lamb class, Alcroft Denzel, bred and exhibited by Sarah Cook.
The female classes saw wins for R. D. & P. L. Hall, Leicestershire, in both the ewe and ewe lamb classes, with Miss Jenny Gamblin, Somerset, taking first prize in the class for the best group of three.
